ABOUT ABOUT

In recent years it seems the world is getting exponentially shittier. People are constantly creating smaller parameters of identity, the gap of power is widening, and news about all the horrors committed upon ourselves and the earth are more transparent and widespread than ever before.  Instead of inspiring global action and change, coverage of this downward spiral seems to only create a dull resignation and feelings of powerlessness; leading people to bow their heads or employ easy acts of catharsis.

a Working Theater has partnered with entertainment juggernaut Panopticon (www.panopticonglobal.com) and Art Share L.A. (www.artsharela.org) to explore this conflict between powerlessness and activism, between the evils we fight and those we participate in.  For the first time, the 14,000 square foot complex of ArtShareLA will be used as a complete performance space, as fifteen multi-faceted performers present an evening of raw, immersive, interactive storytelling.  In this show, the audience becomes the activators, propelling the narrative forward, traversing through multi-universes of abstract, Labyrinth-esque characters and devised sequences of unexpected, explosive complexion.  It is our chance, as artists and citizens, to present these aching frustrations, to turn these grievances on their head and bring an audience into our play of fierce and strange make-believe, embedded within a universe of fractured time.

Only twelve tickets sold per performance.  Join us, and take off on an intimate adventure.

Entrance on S Hewitt Street between 4th and Traction.  Free Parking in the lot across from the entrance!
